Revolut, the global financial super app with over 70 million retail customers globally and almost 5 million in Romania, has today announced a partnership to offer its Revolut Pay checkout solution to Eventim customers in the local market.
Revolut Pay is set to revolutionize the checkout experience for customers of Eventim, one of the leading events ticketing providers in Romania, allowing for one-click payments. This integration means that Revolut’s almost 5 million Romanian customers, along with its broader global customer base, can now complete their purchases on the Eventim website and app simply by selecting Revolut Pay at checkout. When checking out with Revolut Pay, the customer can seamlessly pay from any of their Revolut accounts and get more from their money. They will automatically earn double points or can get discounts on their purchase by redeeming points. The payment is securely approved within the customer’s Revolut app, safeguarded by their passcode or biometric identification, eliminating the need to repeatedly enter payment details.
The ease and speed of Revolut Pay technology allows merchants like Eventim to maximise their conversion rates and enjoy reduced costs for payment processing, with cart abandonment rates below 10% and an average authorisation rate of 98.5%. The payment solution also allows businesses to accept payments with low fees in more than 30 currencies, and to settle funds within 24 hours.
In 2025, 24% of the total budget spent by the Romanian Revolut customers was for entertainment services and products, including tickets to concerts, festivals, events, according to Revolut internal data. A Romanian customer spent approximately EUR 27 per month, on average, for entertainment. The total number of transactions made by Romanian Revolut users for entertainment services increased by 12% compared to 2024, while the total volume of transactions surged by 16% y.o.y. Revolut Pay is integrated within the broader Revolut Business finance platform, forming part of its payments acceptance suite. Moreover, users can benefit from 5X RevPoints on their purchases, accelerating the journey towards their next trip (T&Cs apply).
